Very nice place and people. .. very long trip but kids liked the open area and ability to see ancient moniment. .. and collecting sand and rocks ... riding camel in nice price... smiling camel-man... he loved the kids and made them like the camel and not to get afraid... not a place that is crowded by policemen to restrict your fun... it was nice day...

Very empty of tourists, but fairly busy with hawkers who don’t leave you alone (because there is nobody else for them to bug). You can see some hieroglyphics in the tombs! They are doing a lot of work here to improve the area for tourists, including new walking paths. I preferred the Red and Bent Pyramids to this Step Pyramid.

Very nice and exciting. Local government is doing their best to preserve history. Kudos Once you been there can see they were living as society, might be much matured than us. Giza and Djoser are well connected at that era. It would have better if we get horse or camel riding from Djoser to Giza it's all dessert in between the two. You can very well see both from each other locations.

The step pyramid or 阶梯金字塔 has about 4700 years old ,its the best place u can enjoy history and civilisation south of Giza and south of the great pyramids of Giza. If you love Egypt you have to visit all of these great places

A fantastic historical site and very well managed. Quieter than the Giza Plateau, but still as interesting. The Pyramid of Djoser is particularly impressive, but it is surrounded by many other points of interest. Great views also out into the desert, or back over the palm forests towards Cairo. If using Google Maps, do not follow instructions to Saqqara Necropolis - this will take you to the edge of the desert, through quiet villages, to eagerly awaiting locals happy to assist the lost tourist. At the site, there are a number of local tours but very pleasant guys on the whole, and not too persistent if you are not in the market for a souvenir. But Djoser should be on everyone’s bucket list!
