García Moreno St. and Chile St, Venezuela, Quito 170401, Ecuador
Great place to hang out in the middle of the middle of the middle of the world. Go there for free WiFi, picturesque colonial era buildings and local dance and music performances. Be prepared to shoo away hundreds of street vendors and shoe shiners.
Located in a nice historic part of Quito, Independence Square is a very pretty center that is connected to so much history. Surrounded by the White House of Quito, the mayor's office, a church and restaurants. This place is truly an important cultural and administrative part of the nation. There is so much history to tell in this city and people would be remiss to not visit this part of town.
This is a very busy but interesting place. There are some famous buildings around it. This place is worth a visit if you have some days in Quito
Such a beautiful historic location. Mostly safe, beware pickpockets, but really enjoy the amazing atmosphere. Protest groups, musicians, vendors, food, and fun! Get lots of photos!
In Quito this is a nice square, the call it Plaza Grande... But around the plaza are government buildings, a church, and a very nice commercial center with great cafe, shops, venders, etc... You'll think you're in the south of Spain.
