Museum 1, Nicosia, Cyprus
It was a warm walk down there but we’ll worth the visit especially for the small entrance fee of 4.50 Euros each. The artefacts are stunning and very well presented. There is a short video on the strong relationship between Cyprus and Sweden as well as a display of the amazing finds in one of the tombs. The museum is well worth a visit.
It gives an inclusive overview about Cyprus history. Many beautiful sculptures and artifacts. Best place to visit in heat of summer afternoons. I visited this museum since I had couple of hours until my flight. Learning something new is always better than just wasting time in airport.
Very interesting museum with artifacts dating as far as 9000BC. We were unlucky to go on the national independence holiday and had to cut the visit short due to the early closing time at 13.
Nice collection of local artifacts. Definably could use some more signage and information. Fairly cheap. Allot at least an hour and not more than 3 or 4. 15 minute walk from the northern Cyprus border.
Very special collection of ancient statues, terracotta figurines and other objects, like beautifully ornated vases. Really interesting exchibition, explanatory signs in both Greek and English. Museum is air-conditioned.
