Murska ulica 2, 23210, Biograd na Moru, Croatia
The best way to see this lake is by bikes. There is a bike trail that goes around it, 36km full circle and not too hard for regular bikers. There are a lot of places where you can park your car as a starting point, but there are also three info points on the trail where you can park. It is really great to bike in the mids of nature, where you can take in all the nice views and scents. It is best to visit in spring or autumn, of course you can also visit in the summer, but start really early in the morning, like 6-7am, because it takes about 2-3 hours around (or more if you stop at several interesting points), so you return to the starting point before noon and high temperatures of the day.
A wonderful place. The oasis of many plant and animal species. Most of them are birds. A place worth visiting. Especially nature friendly persons
Beautiful spaces and excellent view.
Quite, clean, great nature, nice stuff, near sea 2km.
Beautiful. Vrana Lake and its surrounding areas were proclaimed a Nature Park on the 21st of July, 1999 due to its status as one of the rare intact natural habitats of water birds, as well as for its fresh water springs and immense biodiversity. The park boundaries, with a total of 57 sq km2, stretch between the city of Pirovac and Pakoštane, whereas the largest part of 30.02 km2 belongs to the lake area itself. The lake is positioned from north-west to south-east in direction parallel with the sea coast, and, at certain points, with the distance of less than a kilometre from the coast. Unique for its location and characteristics, both in Croatia and in other parts of Europe, it is actually a karst valley filled with brackish water and below-sea-level.
