Costa del Silencio - Tenerife

Here began our project, our dream and we want to share with you some of our experiences that made us choose Tenerife and the Costa del Silencio as our home. It's a tourist and residential resort located in the extreme south of Tenerife, and its name means "Coast of Silence" in Spanish.

Giulia:Bar run by Italian girls, kind, smiling and helpful. Fresh food from breakfast to aperitif.
Image - Masca
Giulia:f you want to discover rural Tenerife, as far away from the tourist resorts as you can get, a visit to the hamlet of Masca is a must. Situated in Teno, a part of Tenerife known for its unique, wild, natural beauty in the north-west of the island, Masca delights visitors with its beautifully maintained houses and its cobbled streets; perfect examples of Tenerife’s rural architecture. Many of the houses have been renovated as small hostels and hotels, where you can totally disconnect from the stress of the city and mellow out.

Acantilados de los Gigantes
Giulia:Located in the municipality of Santiago del Teide, The Cliff of the Giants (Los Gigantes) lives up to its name. It is one of the most spectacular landscapes in Tenerife. The 600-metre-tall basalt slab has a great wealth of local, protected wildlife and is a tremendous sight whether viewed by land or sea. The Giants, a grand part of the natural heritage of Tenerife, is a great spot for nature lovers and those looking for a get-away with lots of marine life. Boat trips are recommended.

Giulia:The capricious forms of tongues of lava entering the sea have created this small bay sheltered from the waves. At low tide this is an ideal place to have a dip in its crystal clear waters surrounded by volcanic formations. The pool lies on the coast of Puerto de Santiago in Santiago del Teide, behind the Barceló Hotel, and there are steps to make it easier to access. You can also take the opportunity to have a pleasant stroll along the coast, with its spectacular views and sunsets. Take extra care when the waves are strong and the tide is high.
Image - Playa de La Arenita
Playa de La Arenita
Giulia:In the very centre of Puerto de Santiago, this small black sandy beach offers all the services that you may need besides the most important ones: sun and extra clean water. Not for nothing this beach was awarded with the blue flag of the clean seas of Europe, from 1988 to the present time. In addition to extraordinary natural conditions, thanks to being in an urban environment, you will be able to conclude your day enjoying the best cuisine, stores and hotels of Santiago del Teide, everything conveniently located at very few steps.
Image - Santa Cruz de Tenerife
Santa Cruz de Tenerife
Giulia: Santa Cruz de Tenerife, commonly abbreviated as Santa Cruz, is a city, the capital of the island of Tenerife, Province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, and capital of the Canary Islands. The varied architecture of the city stands out. In 2012, the British newspaper The Guardian included Santa Cruz de Tenerife in the list of the five best places in the world to live. Here you can find the Playa de Las Teresitas.

Playa de Las Teresitas
Giulia:The Playa de Las Teresitas is an artificial, white sand, tourist beach located north of the village of San Andrés, Santa Cruz de Tenerife in Tenerife.
Image - Playa del Médano
Playa del Médano
Giulia:A place of strong winds, it has been the site for various windsurfing competitions and championships, though in recent years, an increase in the number of high-rise hotels and apartment buildings has reduced these winds' power. However, El Médano is still one of the world's best windsurfing/kitesurfing locations, with three different windsurfing spots, the Bay (flat/swell), the Harbour Wall (wavespot sideshore), and Cabezo Beach (wavespot onshore).
Image - Teide National Park
Teide National Park
Giulia:Teide, or Mount Teide is a volcano on Tenerife. Its summit (at 3,715 ) is the highest point in Spain and the highest point above sea level in the islands of the Atlantic. The volcano and its surroundings, including the whole of the Las Cañadas caldera, are protected in the Teide National Park. Access is by a public road running from northeast to southwest across the caldera. A cable car goes from the roadside at 2,356 m and arrives at 3,555 m. The access to the summit itself is restricted; you can require and book a free permit to climb the last 200 m on the National Park website. Because of the altitude, the air is significantly thinner than at sea level. This can cause people to become light-headed or dizzy and develop altitude sickness.
Image - Guía de Isora
Guía de Isora
Giulia:Guía de Isora is a municipality in the western part of the island of Tenerife. You can find nature, mountain and wonderful views in the internal part. On the coast we suggest to visit Alcalà. The completion of the maritime walkway connecting Los Gigantes, Puerto de Santiago and Playa de la Arena with Alcala means that is becoming less of a secret. The little coastal town of Alcala has a central plaza and a well-kept beach, and is surrounded by banana plantations. You can also find there 2 beach volley's camp, a calistenic's park and a skateboard's park totally free.
Image - Playa de Fañabé

Giulia:You can find a lot of shops, bar, restaurants and "Chiringuito" directly placed on the beach

Image - OAKBERRY Açaí Bowls
Giulia:Do you like healthy food and Arcai bowl? It's the perfect place to go! You can find and enjoy it at Las Vistas beach in Los Cristianos
Image - Hermusa
Giulia:It's placed near our apartment, normally it's open from 8 to 22. We especially love freshly baked bread with seeds in the morning
Image - Heladeria pizzería Valentino
Heladeria pizzería Valentino
Giulia:We are Italian and we have choose this ice cream as the best in the area around our apartment. We haven't tried other food yet but we have seen pizza and other Italian food and it looks very taste!
Image - Las Galletas
Las Galletas
Giulia:Small city near Costa Del Silencio. You can reach it by walk in 15 minutes. There are a lot of restaurants, bar and shops. There are also some beaches and the Port.
