High expectations but way too expensive!!! The service was not so friendly but the portions were large. The quality was mediocre as we ate better paisas elsewhere and much cheaper! I do not recommend spending your money here.
Awesome!!! Really great traditional food but no menu so just ask for suggestions. Don't be alarmed if they bring out sausages (morcilla) and arepas as you sit down, it's just what happens. Bandeja paisa is required, get some soups (sancocho con gallina) or grilled flank steak (solomito) and you'll be doing well. Order some drinks and shots and the owner or the places namesake will have drinks with you. Can't ask for much more.
Although they advertise the best chicharrón.. it was the biggest I've had but unfortunately the worst tasting and hard as a rock, I advise the waitress and her answer was next time it will be better.! There won't be a next time for me I told her.
Yes - big plates. But that’s how the Colombians like it. Original and pure. Just make sure you share. I like this place.
Too much food for any one person to possibly eat! On Good Friday this place was packed to the brim -- expect to wait a while for a seat! However the service after seating was super quick. I loved the morcilla and arepas, and I was surprised that a pork knuckle and bean soup came with it too! The soup was awesome. The plate was absolutely gigantic, I came by myself but you definitely need another person to help you out -- the chicharron is as big as your forearm. Overall a lively experience in Envigado.
