A nice botanical garden open free to the public and right beside a metro stop. There was a celebration of youth festival and what looked like a club drive for fencing, tight rope walking, bike trick riding, chess club, and lots more. Here, I tried a virtual reality roller coaster ride. You sit in a chair which moves up, down and all around mimics a roller coaster. You have a head set showing your view as if seated in the front seat. Thrilling. This might have been just for the festival. The park itself is quite nice. As you stroll you will see iguanas. Make sure to check out the orchids. Quite lovely.

I’ve been coming here for years and it is one of the more beautiful places to experience here. If you’re lucky you’ll be here during a festival (there are many) and there are even more places to eat in a little booths like a farmers market, selling fruit, juice, local foods, artistic goods and of course flowers and plants! recommend coming towards the end of the day when it’s bit cooler going into the evening. There is music and live events and sometimes activities for families on Weekends, so I suggest checking checking the calendar online before coming.

One of the most beautiful parts of the city in his garden. On this day you'll find some of the most diverse botany representing the local area. I've been to this place multiple times and I never cease to find something new and it's worth making the effort to visit this park when you come to Medellin Columbia. Don't forget to stop in and see the butterfly laboratory and exhibit. You'll see the beauty of the local butterflies that are in the care of the curators. The parks restaurant has excellent food yeah it's a little crazy but worthwhile eating there at least once. Expect a good dining experience there.

Wonderful botanical garden in the center of Medellin. What a success. I went there during Flower Days. I had never seen so many orchids in a same place. The place is clean, safe and above all allows you to spend some quality time with your friends. I recommended it.

Great place to come and have a picnic, or enjoy an afternoon walking around and hanging out in the gardens. I was impressed by how well kept and clean it was, especially since it is free to enter. The butterfly house is still closed which was disappointing, they didn’t say when it would be opening again or why it was closed so it may be a while before it opens. I enjoyed walking around and getting a break from the busy city. There’s a cute lake to sit by and there are some animals around - duck/geese and some iguanas. Overall a good place to come with a variety of of plants, although none were flowering when we came. I would suggest coming here to have a picnic and relax but there’s not necessarily a lot of diversity in the plants to admire. I liked the walkway through the tropical forest.
