It’s of f my favorite places in China. It’s a total must! Unfortunately there have been new cases of the pandemic in China again and thus, many measures are being used to restrict the circulation in some parts of the city and even the country. I went on a visit, with all the measures for caution and things were fine. It’s a new moment and we all have to adapt to the new rules. I think China has always been very organized and they do things to work.

The food was wonderful on a girls day out. So naturally, we spread the word and we brought our family for a Saturday night dinner, buffet style, meaning you serve yourself other than drinks that are brought. They attempted to charge each family 15% gratuity on top of the price of the buffet. Charged my 3 year old an adult price, he ate maybe a few bites and a scoop of ice cream. I refused to be told what to leave for a “tip.” A tip is offered to the service worker if deserved, never required. Definitely will not go back to an establishment that attempts to take advantage by charging this way.

🔘The Forbidden City🔘🏯 ⚫A palace complex located in central Beijing, China. ⚫It was built by Emperor Zhu Di and the Construction lasted 14 years (from 1406 to 1420) and required more than a 1,000,000 workers. ⚫The complex houses the Palace Museum, and it was the former Chinese imperial palace from the Ming dynasty to the end of the Qing dynasty (1420 to 1912). ⚫It consists of 980 buildings and covers 72 hectares. ⚫The Forbidden City is surrounded by a 7.9 metres (26 ft) high city wall and a 6 metres (20 ft) deep by 52 metres (171 ft) wide moat. ⚫The design of the Forbidden City, from its overall layout to the smallest detail, was meticulously planned to reflect philosophical and religious principles, and above all to symbolise the majesty of Imperial power. 🔶As an example Yellow is the color of the Emperor so almost all roofs in the Forbidden City bear yellow glazed tiles. 🌏The Forbidden City was declared a World Heritage Site in 1987, and is listed by UNESCO as the largest collection of preserved ancient wooden structures in the world. ⚫Since 2012, the Forbidden City has seen an average of 15 million visitors annually, and received more than 16 million visitors in 2016 and 2017.

A great place to visit with the entire family. Was the house of the dinastied Ming and Qing. Make sure you ho early as its one of the biggest palaces where a lot is in open air spaces. I would recommend you to get an audio guide that you can get at the main door. They have em in several languages. If you are going in winter bring some hot drinks with you as its quite cold.
