San Pedro de Atacama, Antofagasta Region, Chile
Although beautiful, the 15,000 peso entry price per person is a bit high unless you plan on spending more than an hour here. Also, be warned that the swimming water is VERY salty. Many more times than the ocean. It is not great for very sensitive skin. When combined with the sun, you may get a salt burn.
Once in a lifetime experience. By that I mean I won’t be doing it again. The staff are great but for $15000 you get to float in some tepid water that has been shared by hundreds of others with very little circulation. You do float a little bit more but it is pretty marginal. The lakes are fine to walk around but nothing nearly as stellar as many others in the region. I would skip this and head to the sister lake which is a couple of kilometres away, $2000 a head , way prettier AND will let you hang around for sunset which Cejar won’t. Believe me - don’t believe the hype, it’s just not that great
Nice park with a trail. Helpful person outside ticket office. Unfortunately we had to go twice as the park was closed earlier than usual the first time we went there. There is somr road construction on the way.
An amazing place to float in extremely salty water
A great place for a float and swim. The lagoons are not the prettiest but floating in this super salty water is really great. Their facility for changing and short is great.
