Let me be clear, this place is awesome. However I don’t feel like giving it 5 stars because it kinda disappointed me. Everything you get to see around San Pedro de Atacama is so mind blowing that I couldn’t help myself but to think those geysers were a bit overrated. They’re really not that big (at least when I was there) and I don’t think it’s really worth the long car trip there, especially if you don’t have much time in SPA. There’s not enough information on the site and it’s quite expensive. 🤷🏻‍♂️ If you have enough time and money, sure, you should go. Otherwise, don’t feel bad if you miss it.

If you've never seen geysers, this is a great attraction! Definitely worth the cost of a tour (we went with Whipala), which gave us motivation to get up at 4:30 to be ready for bus pick ups at 5-5:30. The geysers we're beautiful on the morning, when the sun first comes up. Makes for some really cool photos and views. The drive up to the geysers is definitely rough, but can be done in a car - better in an SUV. This was another reason why the tour was beneficial.

Large bathing area at 4300 meters. Water cold at one end and just tolerable at the other end where small hot springs enter the pool; room for 5 or 6 people in winter. Was 5 degrees Celsius yesterday but changing rooms are right at pool side. Bring towel.

Went a bit later on in the day as we had our own car and younger kids, not the normal sunrise guided tour. Drive up in daylight amazing. Got there for 11:30 and had the place to ourself, including swimming in the thermal pool. You could still see steam from the geysers clearly as well. Kids loved it

We came here on a tour after hearing good things. It definitely lived up to all the hype and more! The geysers at dawn were amazing, the included breakfast more than welcome and the tour of various places afterward was both informative and interesting. Definitely worth waking up early and braving the cold.
