Gorgeous lake and clean place for kids. Took one star off for the parking.. come early before 10am during hot summer days, they close the parking lot when it's full!

I hike around the lake often and love the place. Great place to bring the family for a day at the beach and picnic. Has a separate dog beach. Big parking but on the hot summer day plan to be there by 10am because after all parking is full, the entrance to the park is closed to cars. You can still park outside (at least 2.5 km from the beach) and walk .... Or bike.

I love this lake. It's great for a sunny family picnic. There's a lot of tables and chairs. The lake is just also off the parking lot. There's a trail that goes around the lake too if you're into walking around it. It's an easy hike, but if you're like me who sweats like a savage, it's best not to take your date on that trail especially if it's your first.

Great place for paddle boarding or chilling on the sandy beach. Water is warm and clean. Park rangers are annoying. They are strict on life jackets if your on a board or in a dingy. And they dont rent them on the beach only at the store before you enter the park. So come prepared

One of the best lakes around! Very dog friendly and lots of opportunities to hike! I WISH they would have a live update on their website about the parking. When the lot is full they turn people away from the lake.....if you drive super far to use the lake and don't know it's closed until you arrive it really sucks the fun out of the day.
