Bow Lake, Improvement District No. 9, AB T0L, Canada
We hadn’t planned on Bow Lake, but it was our best find! You cannot simply stop and look at the lake from the road and continue driving, you have to go in towards the lodge. There are also public restrooms here. Once you’re in front of the lodge, walk towards the lake and you’ll see this little pedestal to sit on and enjoy the peace and calm and beauty of this serene place! It’s quiet here. The lake is calm. It’s beautiful!
It's turquoise color is simply mesmerizing. Can be seen by the road as well. Must visit. Also visit Hector lake in the same area. Not sure why it isn't talked of much but it's just as beautiful
This has to be one of the most overlooked beauties this area has to offer. It’s a stop on your drive to Emerald Lake (in Yoho National Park) that can’t be missed. Make sure you stop to enjoy the sublime views this crystal clear lake has to offer. While in site make your way down to the shore line and enjoy the mirror like reflections this lake will gift you.
We found Bow Lake on our way to Calgary to Vancouver. It is also one of the beautiful lakes of Canada. If you travel from Calgary, Alberta to Vancouver, BC you can catch so many beautiful locations on your way and they will surprise you with their beauty. A well deserve to recommend rout for all who love natural beauty.
Beautiful scenery. We camped just down the road at silver horn and drove up to bow lake for the day to go kayaking. Gorgeous waters and nice place to explore and relax for a day. Plus it’s not crazy busy.
