Please don't book this hotel EVER! It's hardly 3 stars, smelly, weird, pretentious, tastelessly designed and decorated. The halls are not air-conditioned and there was always food smell on 14 floor. They control your room air-conditioning from reception and you will have to call them every time you want to change temperature. And it's so loud we couldn't sleep. Pillows are huge and shapeless, drainage clogged. The promised plumber never showed up. The hotel and restaurants are full of mafia looking men and scantily dressed women. The reason we stayed there after first night the hotel was within walking distance of our family house. Never again!

A 5 star hotel with rich clientele but the staff is rude and uncooperative. They probably cater well to people who are super rich, super flashy, super rude and abrasive like them. And that is just not the reflection on the part of hotel but majority of my experience in Bulgaria, where I find most of the people I met unfriendly.

As other reviews have mentioned, the lobby is an extraordinary 80s Dubai bling mashup, but all pretence at 5* stops with the rooms, which are shabby with stained carpets, chipped furniture and air con you can't control. Even after it's been turned 'off' via reception it still whistles through the bathroom ceiling. Paper thin walls and doors and as for the mattresses... My 1st room on the 7th floor had to be changed because of the nearly 20 year old mattress ( labelled 'replace in Jan 2007' .. which means it was purchased in 2000- 2001) 2nd room on the 15th was slightly better but music from private party on the 19th floor banging through the whole building on a Wednesday evening. No concern for guests in rooms, only for income from clubs, restaurants etc in the premises.

This hotel looked very luxurious at first glance when you walk trough the door , Gave me an expensive feeling to which the 5 star rating was appropriate, however it’s became apparent when we got to the rooms that it quickly became from 5 star to a 3 star as the rooms weren’t upgraded in a long long time . Although the downstairs was so luxurious the rooms didn’t give me a feeling of staying in a 5 star hotel, also the pillows on the bed were very uncomfortable to sleep on as they were really big and soft and I couldn’t get comfortable on them. The staff seemed pleasant however I didn’t see that much interaction from them to provide service to the guests of the hotel. Unfortunately I’m disappointed that the Rooms weren’t up to expectations. Breakfast was nice and again the restaurant hasn’t been upgraded in years

The lobby is stunning, the bar and restaurants fantastic; especially the Japanese restaurant which is amazing. There are a number of shops which carry enough to provide a fun shopping experience. The ball room is perfect for a gala event and the rooms are quite comfortable. We found the concierge to be extremely helpful and worth mentioning for his fantastic service. The hotel is a short taxi ride to all the major sites: city center, National Gallery, Paradise Mall, etc.
