Pro tips

1. If you want to eat at a fancy restaurant, try going there during lunchtime. Usually the prices are a bit lower than in the evening. 2. An Icelandic phone company called NOVA has so many 2 for 1 deals for restaurants in Reykjavik. If you buy a sim card from them, you can access all these offers. 3. Drinks are usually really expensive at bars and restaurants in Iceland. Buy your own booze at the Vínbúðin liqueur store if you want to save some cash. 4. The cheapest supermarket in Iceland is called Bónus. The difference between the prices in Bónus and a supermarket called 10/11 for instance is huge. 5. Grab something from the bakery instead of eating your breakfast at a café.
