Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve
Amanda:Watch out for biting flies in the really hot sommer months. Also, there is a creek that appears and disappears during certain times of the year.
Image - Royal Gorge
Royal Gorge
Amanda:Recently redone since it was mostly destroyed by wildfires about 8-9 years ago.
Image - Manitou Springs
Manitou Springs
Amanda:https://manitousprings.org/ Very eclectic city. They have an old time penny arcade with an area specifically for kids. Patsy's Candys is a local staple.

Garden of the Gods Visitor and Nature Center
Amanda:Great place to decompress and just walk through at your leisure. Free to enter.
Image - North Pole Colorado Santa’s Workshop
North Pole Colorado Santa’s Workshop
Amanda:A perfect theme park for small children. Your kids can meet Santa and Mrs. Claus and you can send letters from the NorthPole while you are there. It was designed by former Walt Disney artist back in 1955 and has an old fashioned charm.
Image - Cave of the Winds Mountain Park
Cave of the Winds Mountain Park
Amanda:located at the base of Pikes Peak, this is a fun and small cave that kids can easily enjoy. I took my youngest through there in a sling when they were a baby and it was easy to navigate.
Image - Pikes Peak
Pikes Peak
Amanda:You can drive all the way to the top but make sure your vehicle can handle lots of braking and you have lots of water on hand. Take your time going up to acclimate to the elevation.
Image - Rocky Mountain National Park
Rocky Mountain National Park
Amanda:Estes Park, the entrance to Rocky Mountain, is a beautifultown to visit. The elk can sometimes a nuissance to locals.
