I came as a guest to the hamam only (I didn’t stay in the hotel) - and I really liked the hamam. Arriving on a Sunday evening, I was the only one in the hamam. The steam room was really nice, not Nordic hot but really the perfect temperature for a good long soak. The belly stone was more like a long bench rather than the large central stone you might see in Turkey, but it was ok for me. In place of the central stone was a pool with warm water and a massaging waterfall fountain. There were showers as well as the traditional water pots for cooling. Admission was 10€ / 20 mark, they give you a drying towel and a covering towel, you can wear your own shorts if you like, and they have lockers in the changing room. The staff were really kind and took care to make sure you have a good experience. I would easily recommend the hamam to other travelers

Poor value for the money. It was the most expensive place stayed during our 26 day trip in Eastern Europe and the second worst experience. We stayed 4 days in early June, 2019. The air conditioning was not working even though it had hit a high of 26C/80F during the day. The night manager tried to get the a/c going 4 times. I finally had to ask (not offered) for a fan as it was over 26C/79 in the room the first night. The fan was broken. I asked to switch rooms but they were full. The next morning, the electrician came (supposedly since we went out touristing) but the a/c still didn't blow cold air at 2pm (Sarajevo that day hit a high of 30C/86F). I had to ask for another fan. Note almost every room is on the ground level so I couldn't even keep my windows open because it was less than 21C/70F outside at night. (Also annoying b/c we couldn't keep the curtains open the entire time we were there, thus the room was very dark all the time). It turns out they had to manually switch the central heat to air conditioning (and vice versa) but the night manager did not know this and could not convey this to me. At this time of the year, day and night temperature difference was over 30 degrees F/15 degrees C - they had to chose between setting it to heating or air conditioning because it was not an automatic switchover. Eventually, after the air conditioner was switched on and going for 6 hours was the room cooler. It was not the best air conditioning - we were never cold (like some other places that we stayed during our 26 days long trip in Eastern Europe). There were other things wrong with the room - one lamp didn't work. Several lamps had loose switches/fidgety plugs that would turn off the lamp. We had an area in the middle of the walkway that had a loose/budging floorboard that was covered with an small area rug. The in-room safe had poor directions and was hard to set (button to push on the door was near the hinge and not visible so get someone to show you where the button is). They has nice touches like sweet Bosnia cinammon drink (non-alcoholic) that was offered when we checked in), tea making facilites in the room and an espresso machine in the lobby (free) and the bathroom was relatively new. Breakfast was weird. The coffee was really bad (the coffee in the lobby was better and I brought my own up from the lobby on subsequent days). The little dishes were not really Turkish or European but strange mixture: 2 types of bread, Vienna sausages/little hot dogs (?), peppers with feta cheese, olives, tomatoes, Sliced cheese, red pepper sauce, 2-3 types of whole fruit (not cut up), etc. Eggs , over easy and scrambled were offered - I gave them some stuff off the table and had an omelette made. Location was pretty good - just on the edge of the Old Town. We were only able to use the hamam once during our 4 night stay. Beware that there are women day (Saturday) and Men's day (Sunday) on the weekend. No mosquito nets but there were no mosquitoes while we were in Sarajevo. Internet was consistent and the signal was just OK (2 out of 4 bars) in our room. I would not recommend this place. I could have paid about half what we paid for similar room (maybe not as charming) or a few dollars more for better facilities.

With a couple of friends we used the hamam and enjoyed a great turkish massage for just 40KM. A perfect relaxation experience in Sarajevo. I will come back for sure the next time i will visit Sarajevo ;)
