Zmaja od Bosne 5, Sarajevo 71000, Bosnia and Herzegovina
There are currently three aspects to this museum. The first us an exhibition of comparative photographs of Sarajevo taken in 1996 and then in 2011, same locations used in each case. A surprise for me was the exhibition dealing with the invasion and occupation of Poland during the 2nd World War. I think this must be a temporary exhibition and noticed it was sponsored by the Polish embassy. Upstairs you have a display that takes you through the process leading upto the Dayton Accord and then artifacts from the Bosnian War. Entry price is 7KM, but I would favour going to the "Crimes against Humanity" museum if your interested in the impact of the Bosnian war on the population. The museum building itself is austere, and looks like a product of communist architecture.
This is the real deal.. Life as it was during the siege recreated.. Sarajevo at its most challenged. Also cafe Tito below it is a must to visit
Very interesting, answered all questions about the siege and war. Gained new understanding for the city.
It was great it is small but it does embody the true nature of old small bosnian family houses. There are also some items that belonged to the time long ago. I recommend it. It's for sure worth checking out
Small but well worth visiting. A particularly memorable exibit is the gallery of photos showing the city during the seige and post-reconstruction.
