My personal travel tips

Here are some of the recommendations for the area.

Driving direction

  • Highway 1 - In the direction of Selfoss.
  • Turn left on Road 35 (Biskupstungnabraut) before entering Selfoss
  • Turn left on Road 350 (Sign says Torfastaðir)
  • Turn right where there is a sign saying "Bíldsfell" 
  • Follow that road to the river without turning.
  • GPS coordinates for the cabin: 64°03'17.9"N 20°59'11.6"W
