Bangkok

One of my favourite cities on earth I truly believe there is something for everyone here - from cosmopolitan sky bars to the Thai culture and old temples. It’s a wonderful place to discover.

Vertigo
Samantha:From the moment you step onto the deck your breath is taken away, the Moon and Vertigo bar at the top of ‘The Banyan Tree hotel’ is as spectacular as it comes. One of the tallest sky bars with 360 degree views across Bangkok, I have spent many hours here in the best - note that the drinks are far more expensive but it’s worth it to experience the view!

Wat Pho (Reclining Budha Statue)
Samantha:I don’t think this photo does it justice but this was one of my favourite temples in Bangkok - far quieter than the overrated Grand Palace with the largest gold reclining Buddha you will ever see. Make sure to dress appropriately.

Cabbages & Condoms
Samantha:Do not be put off my the name or the photo above - this is my favourite restaurant in Bangkok and the outside is stunning! You sit amongst trees filled with fairy lights and traditional Thai music - the atmosphere is incredible and the food is out of this world! My highest recommendation is to go here!

Inn a day
Samantha:Food or Stay? If you’re looking for somewhere off the beaten track then Inn a day has so much to offer, next to the locals market and old temples its perfectly placed if you’re looking for culture. I stopped here for food the first time (one of the best lunches I’ve had) and super economical- if you decide to stay here you’ll have a view over the river of Wat Arun! Not only that but it leads off down the back of traditional housing where most the locals live so you get a better sense of the real Bangkok.
