Lots of beginner surfers, a bit crowded for my taste right at the entrance to the beach, but nice nonetheless. You can walk a couple minutes a bit further and have a much more space with less people.

One of my favorite beaches in Byron Bay to have a lil beach walk and watch some surfers in the morning. A surfer yourself? It seems like the water conditions are almost always good (which does make it quite crowded on weekends and afternoons)
