Fun for all ages! Spend 2-4 hours taking a stroll around this lovely zoo. You'll see many of Australia's wildlife up close. And, for those interested, there are several shows going on throughout the day. The playful seals and the adorable red pandas were certainly our favorites. Be prepared to either pay out-the-nose for a mediocre lunch or pack your own food as the choices were limited.

The first zoo I've visited outside the US and the Los Angeles Zoo is the only other zoo I've been to on this scale. Lots of great exhibits and taking the ferry to there makes it all the more fun. They were doing lots of construction when I was there, so there are even more great things on the way. It's built on a hill, so you start at the top and walk down, They have a great tram that flies you over the park from ferry at the bottom to the entrance at the top.

As a family of 5 I can honestly say this is one of our top rated attractions in the City! We visit multiple times each year and the experience is consistently amazing. This year we have been watching the Sumatran Tiger cubs grow up, which has been fantastic. Taronga Zoo is highly recommend!

Great place to have a look at a wide variety of animals. Takes a while to go through the whole thing. Seal and bird shows are a must. The big cat exhibits are great. Catch koalas napping in the trees. Giraffes strolling around and lionesses trying to get up close and personal through the glass. The zoo is clean and looks well maintained. Schedule several hours to enjoy the experience. I got to Taronga on a ferry from circular quay

It’s a vast Zoo on harbor side. There’s a combo offer which includes tickets to Zoo and to & fro Ferry service from Quay area including cable car ride. Lots of animal species are there...Koalas, Kangaroos, Chimpanzees, Giraffes, Tortoises, variety of birds... Bird show shouldn’t be missed and so also walk-through the specially created Sumatra island! Shall be at-least, half-day tour. Excellently maintained Zoo and visitor-friendly too.
