Great holiday location, beautiful beaches and amazing gorge walks. Plenty of facilities for those who don't like to venture to far away from the ease of the every day shops and accommodation. There are campsites that still get you away from the hustle and bustle and out on the beach

A beautiful place to visit with easy ferry access. Brilliant beaches and lots of nature. Photographers paradise.

We thought we needed an entire day to spend here but we only took half a day. It is not cheap to visit - $20 for ferry (flyer offers a free ride from Cleveland train station to jetty). There is another ferry which costs less for a return trip too - $16. You really need to take note of ferry timings as they are far apart. The island is beautiful. We went on a Monday which perhaps saw less tourists. We took a bus ($9.80 cash only) to Point Lookout and went on the gorge walk. Saw some dolphins, whales spouting out water, shadows of some rays but all from a great distance. The coffee was $8 at a nearby cafe. I'm sure we would have explored the island more if we had our own transport.

Great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of Brisbane - even for just a day. Cheap ferries on and off the island. The whole experience is doable on a budget, or you could up the ante and have a really nice get away.

It's a beautiful place, you can hiking, surfing and wild watching. Although, you need totake train here for few hours, but it's worthy. It recommends to stay for a night, if you enjoy wild life, but you still have fun if you only stay a day.
