Our experience was so good, we came back the very next night. It was the Queen’s Birthday long weekend and the place was packed. Both nights we were greeted with beautiful, friendly staff that fitted our family in as we hadn’t booked. Considering how busy they were, our meals came out very fast and were delicious. This will be our ‘go to’ restaurant when next in Melbourne. Highly recommend Max on Hardware…5 Stars from us ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We went on a busy lunchtime without a booking, but the staff member did everything he could to find us one (which was greatly appreciated) the atmosphere was buzzing, everyone chatting away which was so nice to see in an age when everyone usually sits on their mobiles. Service was amazing and food was great according to my son the best pasta he's ever tasted. My pizza was pretty good too.

Food was really good however service is quite lacking, taking 10+ minutes to the point where we have to ask for water, which was never brought to our table when we were seated, 30 minutes waiting for our last plate to be taken so we could ask for the dessert and drinks menu, easier to signal or ask them. Girl didn't seem terribly impressed we asked for her to get the drinks menu.

Good food and great environment. (Most) staff are friendly and welcoming. We ordered the garlic prawns and the seafood paella, and I was happy with both dishes. Prices are towards the more expensive side, but worth trying once or twice. Overall we had a good night with family and friends at Max. If the weather is suitable, I would recommend sitting outside as there are live music and the area is very vibrant

Great experience! It's always nice to find a restaurant that can offer you wonderful customer service and delicious food. Everyone was working really hard because it was full of people and I know why! The quality of the food was excellent. I got a pizza and it was so good, just like a pizza in Italy! Absolutely will go back! THANK YOU 😊
