261-263 King St, Newtown NSW 2042, Australia
I signed up to Dendy when it used to be at Martin Place. It has long closed. I occasionally see movies at Dendy Circular Quay, but I really love the atmosphere of Newtown and Dendy is the reason I go to there. I love my rewards card, the eats and drinks on offer, plus the movies are all half-price on Mondays. Seniors get free morning tea on Wednesday's. A classy place.
Their team is always so friendly and helpful. It's worth signing up for their Club, heaps of benefits :) plus this place have that "small town cinema" vibes. Nice atmosphere.
Handy local cinema is why I give 3 stars. Screens are small and sound a less than the big players. Seats are not very comfy. Booking system does not support social distancing. No attempt to enforce social distancing in entrance area. Patronage don't bother with face masks when the lights dim - no health messages on screen about this.
Good experience - comfy seats and a clean cinema. Tickets are a decent price if you're a member but food cost (as usual for a cinema) is outrageous. No social distancing in the cinema which is mostly why I only gave this 3 stars.
A great mix of movies.
