In 10 courses we’ve tasted whole of Argentina. It has been a true pleasure especially with the 6 wines accompanying. Great service and ambiance. Best dish for us: the artichokes mousse!
I'm not sure what happened in the experience of less low ratings. I went to Tegui tonight and can say it was truly magical. The food itself was special, really showcasing and honoring Latin America and the products of Argentina. Wine pairing really enhanced the food and was creative. Service was also exceptional. Thank you Tegui for a great evening!
Interesting and creative 10 course menu. They also accommodate vegetarian and vegan menu. I had the vegetarian course menu and it was very creative. I think flavors were slightly off but perhaps it’s to cater to Argentinian taste palate. Overall I think it was a great experience and I am glad they do vegetarian menu! It’s definitely worth a try if you are visiting Buenos Aires.
I've been to dozens of 1 star Michelin restaurants, and a few 2/ 3 stars as well. Unfortunately Tegui's tasting menu doesn't measure up to the 1 star tasting menus I've had. I will say the wine pairing was exceptional– creative/ paired well with the dishes. Here's where they lost stars: – Food meant to be eaten with hands was often too hot to touch – Proper utensils weren't given for some dishes – The duck was tough/ a bit undercooked It gets the reputation for being the best restaurant in Argentina, but I don't believe it was even the best meal I had during my trip. If you're here with dollars, it's probably worth it for the wine pairing alone, but don't expect to have your socks knocked off.
Food was incredible, but the service was not good. Have been to many restaurants like this as my husband is a true foodie, and though the food is great and lived up to the hype, the service really needs work. They rushed the first 5 courses, then all of a sudden you couldn’t get a waiter to come help without waiving one down repeatedly. Definitely did not live up to the service at other similar restaurants, timing and cadence is something that could use work here.
