Fantastic! Could not ask for a better setting and a more luxurious afternoon. The 7 course lunch was outstanding with great flavours and perfect pairings. The service was impeccable and they were very kind to indulge my preference to speak in not so great Spanish [that's is how you get better]. Wine pours were very generous. My partner had a few top ups as well [alas, I was the driver]. My all means, treat yourself to this amazing experience while in Mendoza.

The setting in this place is amazing, please see the picture from our table. We had a 6-course menu with a premium wine pairing. The food was presented in an amazing fashion. It lacked some spices in places but overall it was a good experience. Our waiter spoke very good English and he really went an extra mile to make as feel well. The wine was trully amazing. We really enjoyed it. Everything would be almost perfect if not the fact that we were made felt very excluded. All tables around us were always offered a second or third re-fills but our waitress always omitted us. Even when we asked to have one wine top up we had to ask twice and waited a long time to finally get it (plus they did it only for one of us). If we didn't see other tables being offered so much more extra wine we wouldn't think twice about it. It made us wonder; was it because we were gay?if that was the case that isn't acceptable. It didn't make us feel welcome and put a big downer on the whole experience. We gave a tip to our food waiter but we cannot give more than 1 star for this experience, the feeling we were left with after visiting this restaurant has a very bitter taste.

Our tour at Lagarde was lovely, our guide was absolutely fabulous and the wines were great. However, the lunch was disappointing. I was stunned when I found a piece of metal in my risotto. We told the waitress that there was metal in my risotto and showed her the piece that I put on the table and she proceeded to inform the kitchen as if it was a frequent occurrence. When I pointed to it she’s e said “oh that was in your food?” In the most un-phased tone. She told the kitchen and never brought it up again and didn’t me offer a new dish or clear the plate with metal in it. I was stunned that a manager wasn’t informed and it was treated as no big deal.

The tour here is really nice. I enjoyed our tour guide who taught us a lot about the process of making wine at this specific bodega. It is incredible how the wine here is incredibly focused on being handmade at almost every leg of the process. Afterwards, the tour guide served us exquisite sparkling and was the most kind of all the tours we did that day.
