Tirana, Albania
This is what all travel agencies think you want to see the most in Tirana, Albania... a defunct concrete communist monster. Seriously, this was the only place in Tirana where we encountered organised groups of tourists. There's, however, much more to see in this cosmopolitan city.
I like the atmosphere but it was closed. They put barrier around it. We just saw it behind the barriers but it was good place to visit in Tirana
Don’t expect a pristine, shiny looking sight. The building is in a derelict state and you can’t go inside - you can only have a look through the broken parts of windows. However, this place is definitely worth visiting when you’re in Tirana. It will definitely give you an insight into the communist part of Albanian history.
Either you like it or not, its an icon of the city and in my oppinion a place to be visited. The government should consider doing something about it
It surely looks unique but the public has no access to it....
