Amazing sights

Bornholm is rich on amazing sights, a lot of them outside, so bring your walking shoes

Patrick: *** I HAVE VISITED *** A visit to Bornholm isn’t complete without a visit to what is probably Bornholm’s biggest attraction - the castle ruin Hammerhus. I’ve personally come here almost every time I’ve been on Bornholm, both with friends and family. It’s just an amazing walk with a million scenic views all over! From Hammerhus you’re able to walk along a path down the side of the cliffs from where you’ll get to go see “Løvehovederne” (The Lion Heads), so check that section for more information. https://www.instagram.com/p/CDJyIcrHYKZ/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link

Patrick: *** I HAVE VISITED *** Don’t be discouraged from the drive to this lighthouse, the drive is worth it! You’ll be able to go to the top of the lighthouse for free and have an amazing view. From the lighthouse there are multiple hiking trails, so it’s a great place to park the car and go for a walk. The best walk in my opinion is only a short walk to “Krystalsøen” (The Crystal Lake), from here you’ll get an incredible view from the top to “Opalsøen” (The Opal Lake).

Patrick: *** I HAVE VISITED *** I don't know why my family kept this amazing spot a secret from me, but it wasn't until some friends insisted on us going to Opalsøen that I saw it - and wauw! This giant fresh water lake located in an old granite quarry is a Must See in my opinion. During the summertime it's a hotspot for people to jump from the cliffs (8 meters approx.) and go for a swim. Patrick: *** I HAVE VISITED *** It might not sound like much, a quarry, but it will for sure amaze you! From the parking spot you won’t feel amazed just yet, but a short walk away from it and you’ll see why I recommend this place. Make sure you go on the bridge have a look from there! Also, there are plenty of hiking trails so feel free to have a walk around. Not just because it’s Bornholm’s only one Michelin star rated restaurant, but because of so much more. The restaurant is located in an old ice cream kiosk on the southern coast of Bornholm, completely isolated, and with an amazing 180 degree view of the Baltic Sea. Kadeau offers an unforgettable food experience, taking inspiration from not only the nordic cuisine, but also from historic dishes local to Bornholm.
